BBS RS-GTs - October 2006

I came back to the 19s. I just couldn’t get over how good the 19s looked, and, they are
even lighter than my last set of BBSs. The fronts are 20.8# and the
rears are 21.9#
I wanted a quality wheel, the multi-spoke
design, some lip, with darker
centers, and lightweight. BBS RS-GT fit those criteria.
I could have painted my SSR GT3s, but that process is slightly cumbersome since I couldn’t install my OEM 17s [they won’t
clear the brakes], and selling custom color wheels sometimes can be a challenge.
I also decided to make the switch to studs. As often as I've been changing
wheels and spacers, I finally decided it was worth it. I went with
90mm TMS Studs, in corrosion resistant black, and the
BBS
Wheel Nuts.

The studs and nuts work wonderfully. Neither set in the front or rsar rally go past the face of the wheel, so it still looks sharp.
The offset for the rears is silly. TR includes an 18mm spacer; we needed to use 30mm spacers to get it to look right. We used 10mm spacers in the front, with hub extenders. The fronts by themselves would clear the brakes without issue, but the wheel was hitting the strut tube.
Things are a little too low in the rear, but I ran out of time today to fiddle with it; it'll also be easier to adjust once the hood is mounted. Adjustable front control arm bushing for caster adjustment, should be on order soon. The scrapes on the front caliper is from the wheels weights from the SSR GT3s.
