08.21.09 RSS Plenum

I jumped on this deal.  Mike provided great customer service.  Same day shipping and I had my plenum in only a couple days from CA to NC.

In addition to the instructions I also disconnected my battery.  This may or may not improve the learning process of the ECU, but figured it can't hurt.

The removal process was not too bad at all.  I followed the instructions link above and took my time, also taking pictures of course.

Install

Obviously the tricky part is getting it into place with the interference provided by the rubber boots at each end of the intake manifold.  I tried angling it in with one or the other first, but I finally had success by applying some spray silicone [CRC] to both ends on the plenum and pushing it flat into place.  I needed to manipulate the boots a little with a long flat head screw driver, but it wasn't bad at all at that point.

Be mindful of the vacuum lines, and I just plugged the check valve back into the OEM boot; 2nd to last pic
